Director Forum Debate on 19 March 2018.
The Debate which will address the key outcome of decision challenging themes explored and defined by a Roundtable Discussion held on 13 February 2018.
In the wake of a growing number of corporate failings, including the Carillion collapse, the role and responsibilities of Board members is prominently in the news. Culture and Transparency being key. Boards are not always making the right decisions and we are debating key relationships the cause failure to address difficult topics.
A Discussion Paper of the Roundtable Discussion will be shared with attendees to the Debate.
Sharon Constançon of Genius Methods will chair the Debate to tease out discussion on traits of Chairman, prevalent cultures and behaviours and the outcomes and effectiveness these deliver. The Debate will address suggested solutions were relevant to empower fully effective Chairmen and therefore Boards.
The outcome of your and earlier contribution will be a White Paper sourced from these discussions and research carried out by Genius Methods.
Your contribution to this White Paper is very valuable to ensure we reflect a full diversity of perspectives. The format is a debate so come prepared to participate.
We welcome Board members, particularly Chairmen and SIDs who have experienced decision making complexities. The focused six Chairman types will cover how they are portrayed and recognised, what culture and behaviours are prevalent and the outcomes that can be expected.
Most importantly the group will address the possible solutions for each Chairman character that will support delivering full Chairman effectiveness.
We welcome Board members, particularly Chairmen and SIDs who have experienced decision making complexities. The focused six characters will encompass typical Chairmen and it is the work of this Debate to identify how Chairmen can be empowered to be fully effective.
